And Then There Was One...Less
Yet another denomination has taken the step of ordaining openly homosexual men and women as pastors.
While this isn't much of a surprise to some outsiders, the surprise evidenced by some insiders quoted in this article is saddening. The article also points out at the end that this is hardly the end of the issue. It isn't enough to accept homosexual behavior in pastors - the ultimate goal is to have the church actually endorse it through the blessing of same-sex weddings and unions.
There's not much more to be said, frankly. Other than that there are fewer and fewer of the mainline protestant denominations who remain consistent with the Biblical witness and nearly 2000 years of Christian understanding on the topic of homosexuality. I don't expect that number to be increasing any time soon, and I'm convinced it will continue to decrease.
