Greenhouse Gases & the Turn of the Millenium
...although in this case, it's the first millenium, not the second.
A short article by Wired magazine quoting monks in 1046 noting the onset of much harsher winter weather than in living memory. Just another reminder that our planet has apparently experienced warming and cooling trends in the past that nobody blames on human activity. And it's always cool for me to work in references to the Anglo Saxon Chronicle.
Just another reason to wonder how much we're really to blame for this warming period (if that's what we're in), and how much we're going to be expected to pay just to find out there's nothing we can do to change the situation.
