My Rate is Bigger Than Yours
Just a fascinating little interactive map of the impact of the recession, in terms of unemployment rates by county across the US. You can highlight any county and see the current unemployment (as of December '08) rate and the net change in that rate over the last year.
As an aside, I've always found it interesting how large counties are in the far West, as opposed to the rest of the country. But then again, I apparently have a healthy amount of free time on my hands.
